Course Description

Our current course consists of hands-on learning, self-directed learning and lectures by medical and research professionals. In a distance-learning setting, students will be led by research experts in ‘simulated’ experiments that will provide a deep knowledge of the technique used. Students are immersed into a complicated emergency case and made to analyze the molecular aspects of the disease, which allows them to relate basic science to patient care. This program also keeps students engaged with games, activities and questions. Students will have access to lab and medical equipment, making the learning experience more authentic and engaging. Topics covered vary depending on the particular course but can may include the gross anatomy, immune system, the importance of vaccines, DNA mutations, patterns of inheritance and precision therapies.
